Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 14 (IANS) A lower court here on Wednesday read out the charges against State Education Minister V.Sivankutty and four different heads of their contribution in defacing in the floor of the Assembly in 2015.
The Assembly had seen vicious scenes in March 2015, after the then Left resistance attempted to forestall then Finance Minister K.M. Mani from introducing the Budget, charging his part in the bar pay off case.
Of the six denounced, Sivankutty and K.T. Jaleel are individuals from the current Assembly. While Sivankutty is the state schooling pastor, Jaleel is a previous clergyman. The others are Left Democratic Front convenor E.P. Jayarajan, C.K. Sadasivan, Kunhammed Master and K. Ajith (every one of the four were lawmakers during 2011-16).

The zenith court had requested all from them to confront preliminary. This had made a political furore with the Congress and the BJP requesting Sivankutty’s renunciation, which was totally dismissed by the CPI-M.
They all have been charged under the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act and different arrangements.
