Algeria to increase gas supply to Italy

Algiers, Sep 22 (IANS) Algerian state-claimed energy goliath Sonatrach plans to build its gas supply to Italy before long, as indicated by an explanation gave by the Service of Energy and Mines.

With 17.8 billion cubic meters of gas previously conveyed in 2022, Italy “will in any case get an extra 10 billion cubic meters of gas” before long, with the complete stockpile surpassing 25 billion cubic meters before the year’s over, Xinhua news organization revealed, refering to an assertion by the service explanation.

In 2021, the North African nation traded 21.2 billion cubic meters of gaseous petrol to Italy.

With such conveyances, Algeria has been “respecting its responsibilities with Italy,” subsequently “merging its situation as the main gas provider to this southern European country,” the assertion noted.
