Amaravati farmers launch Padyatra against trifurcation

Amaravati, Sep 12 (IANS) Farmers from 29 towns of Amaravati district on Monday set out on a second Maha Padyatra from here to request the Andhra Pradesh government to execute the High Court request for improvement of Amaravati as the main state capital.
Subsequent to offering petitions at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy sanctuary in Venkatapalem, pioneers and individuals from Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi (APS) and Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Amaravati ranchers started the long walk, which corresponds with finish of 1,000 days of their dissent against trifurcation of state capital.

Ranchers, horticulture workers, ladies and individuals from different backgrounds are taking part in the Padyatra. They promised to proceed with their battle till the state government pulls out its transition to have three state capitals.
