Embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James, has requested an Ikeja Domestic and Sexual Violence Court to provide him put up-conviction bail pending a hearing and determination of his appeal earlier than the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo had in July sentenced Baba Ijesha to sixteen years imprisonment for toddler defilement.
The fees against Baba Ijesha: He became convicted of 4 out of a six-count rate brought towards him via the Lagos State Government.

During proceedings, Chukwudi Adiukwu informed the court they have got implemented for bail pending an appeal, below Section 6 (6) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended.
Adiukwu argued that segment fifty one of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law, Lagos State 2015, empowers the court docket to admit the applicant to bail, either unconditionally or upon reasonable situations. He stated granting their utility could serve the course of justice.
